SMAW Structural Welder Course

Morning, Afternoon, and Evening Classes available

Objective:

Training an individual to become proficient in Shielded metal arc welding.  This course is designed so students will be able to work in many different areas of SMAW welding such as building and stadium construction, manufacturing, and fabrication shops, and structural field welding.

Course Outline:

Upon completion of the SMAW Structural Welder Course, a student shall be able to enter the welding field as a journeyman level SMAW welder and shall be able to find employment in or at manufacturing and fabrication shops, tank farms, and structural construction such as stadiums, buildings and towers. This course is competency based, students’ progress at their own individual pace and will be tested after each task completion per AMSE code standards. Students must complete 225 hours and maintain passing grades in this course to receive a diploma. If a student does not complete the 225 hours or maintain passing grades they will not receive diploma.
