Objective:


Training an individual to become proficient in many areas of structural welding. The course is designed so students will be able to work in many different areas of welding such as building and stadium construction, Shop manufacturing, marine welding and structural field welding.

 

Course Outline:


Upon completion of the Structural Welder Course, a student shall be able to enter the welding field as a journeyman level structural welder and shall be able to find employment in or at manufacturing shops, shipyards, tank farms, drilling rigs and structural construction such as stadiums, buildings and towers. This course is competency based, students’ progress at their own individual pace and will be tested after each task completion per AMSE code standards, students must complete 250 hours and maintain passing grades in this course to receive a diploma and be tested for welder performance qualification certification. If a student does not complete the 250 hours or maintain passing grades they will receive neither diploma nor certification.
